Projects

I work in projects that focus (1) on a toxic metal (Cd) in organic matrix and (2) on natural water monitoring in a cross-disciplinary approach. The interest of (1) is to understand, on natural samples, the distribution and the correlation of Cd with other metals and organic molecules, with the ultimate aim of helping to limit contamination. In (2), natural water monitoring, implying a set of geochemical parameters, provides data that can support mineralogical or geophysical processes. For this, field studies are combined to experimentation, chemical analysis and modelling.

Current projects

• Belledonne Border Fault Seismic activity, Geochemistry water monitoring and local seismic activity (PI P. Gueguen).

Previous projects

The previous project focused on As an Hg toxic elements. In some cases, coupled to elemental geochemistry, radiogenic isotopes (δ34SSO4, δ18OSO4, δ18OH2O) were used to determine the origin of As (anthropogenic versus geogenic).
For a part of these projets, a transportable and miniaturized system for Acid Volatil Sulfides and As speciation in saline waters by IC-AFS were developped.
