Fabien ALBINO

Physicien-Adjoint OSUG au Service National d’Observation ISDeform
Membre de l’équipe Géophysique des Volcans & Géothermie

My research focus on the analysis of ground deformation signals and topographic changes associated with volcanic eruptions 🌋.
I mainly use radar interferometry (InSAR) 🛰 and numerical modelling based on the Finite Element Method (FEM).

Part of my research is to provide routinely useful satellite products and to develop methodology for the automatic detection of ground deformation, with the aim to support the real-time monitoring of volcanic unrest.

I’ve studied volcanoes in Iceland 🇮🇸 or in Democratic Republic of Congo 🇨🇩, and more recently I have been involved in the scientific response of the 2017 Agung eruption in Indonesia 🇮🇩 and the 2018 Fuego eruption in Guatemala 🇬🇹.
