Researcher at the IRD (Institute of Research for the Development), I am interested in better assessing the landslide hazard and the physics of landslides. My research focus on studying the triggering of landslides by earthquakes, in the Andes, in the Alps, and in the Himalaya.

Three main issues motivate my research :
(1) Better quantifying the factors controling the triggering of landslides by earthquakes ?
(2) What are the physical processes of landslide deformation under seismic forcing ?
(3) Detection of precursory motions before landslide failure from space.
