RAP Award presented to Annie Souriau and Pierre-Yves Bard

The 9th Biennale of the Permanent Accelerometric Network (RAP) brought together 76 participants from the scientific community of hazard and seismic risk in France in November 2018 in Lourdes. The event was organized with the support of the MTES, RESIF, the DDT of the Hautes-Pyrénées and the city of Lourdes.

On this occasion, the 1st edition of the RAP award was launched, which will now be awarded every 2 years by a 5-member commission. It rewards a remarkable contribution in engineering seismology, seismic hazard and risk, seismological instrumentation or seismic engineering, covering applications in France and highlighting the observational approach.

In view of their involvement in the knowledge of seismicity and seismic risk in France, the 2018 Commission decided to award this first ex-aequo prize to Annie Souriau (OMP) and Pierre-Yves Bard, IFSTTAR researcher at ISTerre. Congratulations to them!
