The fields of study

ISTerre plays an important role in the training and teaching of Earth Sciences in Grenoble and Chambéry. The laboratory’s research professors are strongly involved in the various local training courses, both within the university institutions (University Grenoble Alps - UGA, and University Savoie Mont Blanc - USMB) and also in collaboration with the IUT or engineering schools.

Within these organizations, ISTerre is mainly active in the field of Earth Sciences, the Universe and the Environment (Bacherlor degree mention "Earth Sciences" of the UGA - course STE and PSTEM; masters GeoRisks, Geodynamics, Geophysics, GeoResources, MEEES, ...) but also in physics or mechanics, and is in charge of many responsibilities.
