Eco-responsible commitment
Following the GHG assessment carried out in 2019 for 2017, the laboratory’s eco-responsibility group has drawn up a full assessment for 2022, and a partial assessment for 2019, using the GES1point5 tool.

The laboratory has co-constructed a Commitment and Rules of Eco-Responsibility, which is an appendix to the laboratory’s internal regulations. This process has mobilized a lot of energy for almost two years, to reach a collective commitment.

Public institutions with more than 250 employees are required to carry out a GHG assessment and to propose actions to reduce their emissions. This applies to ISTerre’s supervisory bodies which are CNRS, UGA, IRD and IFSSTAR. At the laboratory level, we wanted to have a precise idea of our emissions, and to have a decision support tool to reduce our impact.
