Accelerometric network: RAP Alpes
***Scientific objectives
This network hopes to improve our knowledge concerning significant land shifts in France (mainland and overseas departments) due to earthquakes. This is being carried out thanks to the installation of a network of stations and the creation of a free-access database, which enable the shared promotion of the various parties involved in assessing hazard and seismic risks.
RAP is a member of the French seismological and geodesic network (RESIF).

**RAP-Alpes : Monitoring services in the northern Alpes and member of the national RAP network
53 stations are distributed throughout the northern Alps territory. Certain sites of particular scientific interest (Grenoble, Annecy) have been reinforced with special instrumentation, including buildings and drilling sites.
