Missions

The mission of the IT Department is to manage the laboratory’s IT infrastructure. Its activities are mainly organized around:

– Installation, administration and maintenance of basic services: network access, authentication, data storage and sharing, printing, web services
– Administration of the OAR computing cluster
– User assistance, hardware / software installation, configuration of client workstations, inventory,
– Computer documentation
– Data and user workstation backup management
– The purchase and maintenance of computer equipment.

The IT Department is involved in sharing projects at the level of OSUG (authentication, virtualization platform), GRICAD (CEMENT), and UGA (SUMMER storage).
