INTRODUCTION

This auxiliary material gives additional information about the GPS data processing and the associated errors. GPS data were acquired between 1991 and 2000 and cover the entire southern Asia region. These GPS data were processed by two different softwares, and Text 1 details the different processing strategies applied, the data sets, and how these two independant solutions were combined together. 

Figure S1 shows the long term repeatabilities of the Gamit solution. Table S1 details the repeatabilities of the campaign solutions processed with GAMIT software. Table S2 summarizes the residual velocities of the IGS stations used for the mapping in ITRF2000. Table S3
compares the velocities of the common sites between GAMIT and GIPSY solutions, and Table S4 is the GPS velocity solution presented in this paper with respect to ITRF-2000. It also gives the 1-sigma uncertainties and residual velocities of each site with respect to the belonging plates.
