&lt;p&gt;The SISCOR project aims to provide new observations and advanced methodologies to refine prediction laws and physical models of earthquake generation and fault activity, including transient phenomena, at various spatial and temporal scales. The selected region is the western part of the Corinth Rift (Greece), one of the seismic regions in Europe, where destructive earthquakes are expected within a few decades. For 20 years, this region has been the target of intensive French and European research, combining seismology, geodesy, tectonics, sedimentology and geophysics. This motivated the launch of the Corinth Rift Laboratory (CRL) in 2000, strongly supported by CNRS/INSU and French laboratories, as well as by the EC. In 2009, this site was recognized as an &#034;instrumented site&#034; for long-term monitoring. The SISCOR project will allow a qualitative leap in the understanding and resolution of mechanical processes. It brings together the multidisciplinary expertise of 6 main organisations (IPGP, ENS, GEOAZUR, IRSN, CRPG, LGCA), with the collaboration of foreign groups (Belgium, Greece, Italy, U.K).&lt;/p&gt;
