Chris Parsons is a post doctoral researcher working on the biogeochemistry of redox sensitive elements in soils and clay barrier materials. Chris defended his doctoral thesis entitled "The distribution and mobility of arsenic in soils : The effects of successive redox cycles" in October 2011. During his Ph.D Chris worked as an ESR within the Marie-Curie Research Training Network : AquaTRAIN. Previous to this Chris studied geology and geomicrobiology at the University of Manchester.
