Lire la suiteI am working to improve the knowledge of Earth’s core dynamics. To this end, I am conducting researches about the Earth’s magnetic field and its temporal variations. My work benefits from analyses of magnetic data that are presently collected from the 3 low orbiting satellites of the ESA’s Swarm constellation. It presently consists in:
I supervise the theses of Ilya Firsov about the radial shear of the core surface flow (main supervisor: Nicolas Gillet) in the framework of the ERC GRACEFUL project (co-lead Mioara Mandea also supervisor of the thesis), of Remy Monville about topographic effects in planetary fluid cores (main supervisor: David Cebron) in the framework of the ERC project THEIA led by Cebron, and of Thea Lepage (co-supervisor Nicolas Gillet) about the electrical conductivity of the lowermost mantle.
