On a national level, UGA also maintains its position as the 5th largest university in France, and 1st university in the region, alongside the universities of Aix-Marseille and Strasbourg, after the 4 institutions in the Paris region: Université Paris Saclay, PSL, Sorbonne Université, and Paris Cité.
