15 Years of ISTerre: Looking Back at a Day Marked by the Inauguration of the NODES Building
On 22 September 2026, ISTerre celebrated its 15th anniversary during a day dedicated to the institute’s history, development and future prospects, also marked by the inauguration of the NODES building.
The day brought together many members of ISTerre, along with several guests, including representatives from Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA). The discussions provided an opportunity to look back at the institute’s scientific and technical developments over the past fifteen years, while highlighting its various research areas, experimental developments, platforms and infrastructure, as well as the new projects currently contributing to its growth. Particular attention was also given to the new generation of researchers who have recently joined the institute.

A New Chapter with the NODES Building
The inauguration of the NODES building was a key highlight of this anniversary day. It also provided an opportunity to warmly thank all the people and partners who contributed to the project, in particular EPOS-France, whose contribution helped fund the building.
