HCERES Evaluation Visit : ISTerre to Welcome the Committee on 27–28 November

The HCERES evaluation committee (High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education) will visit ISTerre on 27 and 28 November in the Kilian auditorium.

This evaluation is a key moment for the laboratory. It provides an opportunity to present our achievements, organizational structure, and future perspectives to a peer committee tasked with reviewing the unit’s trajectory and providing recommendations for the years ahead.

Throughout 2024, all teams, with the support of the former management team, contributed to the preparation of the self-evaluation report. This document highlights ISTerre’s scientific activities, support functions, organizational structure, as well as our strengths in research, observation, training, and outreach.

After reviewing our self-evaluation, the HCERES experts will come to ISTerre to meet directly with researchers, engineers, technicians, and administrative and support staff. Their final report will serve as a valuable guide for shaping the laboratory’s future directions.

The HCERES visit will take place in two parts :

Thursday, 27 November : Team presentations

Friday, 28 November (morning) : Closed-door meetings by staff category, designed to allow the committee to gather feedback, questions, and insights from all members of the laboratory.
