A comic book series about the subsurface with which ISTerre is partnering

Xavier Arnauld de Sartre, a member of ISTerre, took part in the launch of a series of publications for the general public, including comic strips, in the journal Ebullitions. In this series, which focuses on the obstacles to the energy transition, an investigator, Leoccia Cenis, seeks to understand why various energy transition technologies are struggling to be implemented. She particularly questions the tendency to blame a lack of social acceptability for these technologies, instead highlighting the internal weaknesses of the proposed solutions.

The character of Leoccia Cenis (an anagram of sciences sociales) is introduced in these panels. She appears as a kind of avatar for a team of social science researchers.
