[Video] At the origins of plate tectonics (and of life ?)

If we compare Earth with the other planets in the Solar System, it has two unique features : life and plate tectonics. And some scientists believe that plate tectonics may have played a role in the emergence of life. Hence the need to answer the question : when did plate tectonics first appear on Earth ?
