Landslides
ISTerre/OSUG monitors landslides in the Northern Alps. These phenomena can have significant societal impacts, particularly in the context of climate change, which accelerates certain processes. Monitoring is essential for a better understanding of the physical processes controlling their movement (failure, propagation) and for predicting their behavior over time and across space.
Our goal is to provide long-term recordings of three categories of parameters interacting with landslide dynamics: surface displacements, seismological observations, and meteorological observations.
Two sites are instrumented by ISTerre/OSUG: the Seychilienne rockslide site (Isère) and the Mas Avigonet clay landslide site (Isère).
