Research at ISTerre spans vast scales of time and space, reflecting the diversity of objects, processes, and mechanisms studied in Earth sciences. Each team structures its work around a main focus defined in its trajectory, under the coordination of a team leader who is a member of the management committee.

Beyond the individual teams, the laboratory’s scientific dynamism also relies on cross-disciplinary scientific activities, at the intersection of disciplines or around questions requiring shared expertise.
