GeoData is a service comprising:
- technical staff (technicians and engineers),
- belonging to the Branche d’Activités Professionnelles E (Informatique, Statistiques et Calcul scientifique),
- working on specific projects for which they have been recruited,
- hosted at ISTerre,
- not belonging to the ISTerre IT infrastructure service.
It is an administrative structure to federate and represent this group of collaborators in discussions with the laboratory head team.

It currently counts 19 members: 8 permanent (5 OSUG, 3 ISTerre) + 11 contractual (2 OSUG, 11 ISTerre).
The members of Geodata contribute to (or use) Research Infrastructures and projects which generally go beyond the framework of the ISTerre laboratory.

We are developing satellite radar data processing tools for ground motion analysis. As these tools have to handle ever-increasing data flows and volumes, HPC and distributed computing expertise has been added to take advantage of regional computing infrastructures.

We are developing automatic double difference processing of GNSS data for the ground motion and strain analysis. This is a massive processing using the suite of programs GAMIT-GLOBK developed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Harvard University.
