Gender Equality Group
The Gender Equality Group has, since 2020, served as an observatory and monitoring body for measures implemented at the national and international levels. Its objective is to develop reflections and recommendations, and to implement actions aimed at improving parity and equality among ISTerre members, in consultation with the management team. The group also acts as a point of contact in situations where gender parity is undermined and can serve as an intermediary with the University Grenoble Alpes authorities.
Who We Are
Our group is made up of ISTerre members from different research teams and technical, observation, or administrative services. Within the Gender Equality Group, we welcome any laboratory staff member interested in issues related to parity and gender discrimination, regardless of gender, status, or age.
The members of the group are: Anne-Sarah Amblard, Julia de Sigoyer, Véronique Dansereau, Paula Dörfler, Laetitia Drumare, François Faure, Stéphane Garambois, Blandine Gardonio, Éric Lewin, Théa Ragon, Anne Replumaz, Anne Socquet, Delphine Tisserand.
For What Purpose?
Our goal is to raise awareness, observe inequalities, and propose actions to collectively promote well-being at work and eliminate career barriers linked to gend
Since April 2020, we have been implementing actions (seminars, cafés, surveys, etc.) and awareness campaigns. By becoming aware of our biases and adopting the perspective of others, we aim to improve and promote the careers of both women and men in the unit, without glass ceilings or obstacles to work-life balance, all in a spirit of conviviality. A great challenge!
For now, our mission is limited to issues of gender discrimination, and in particular to parity. For questions, reports, or comments regarding situations of GBVH (Gender-Based Violence and Harassment), we can serve as points of contact and invite you to consult our dedicated page.
We may broaden our scope to address all forms of discrimination if new motivated members join us. While the term “parity” refers to a binary conception of gender, we wish to include in our reflections those whose gender identity does not fit within the binary norm.
