Mes travaux de recherche portent sur la caractérisation de la variabilité mécanique et hydrologique du sous-sol par une approche combinant des données d’origines variées : géologie, géotechnique, hydrologie, géophysique et géodésie.
Mes objets d’étude : formations sédimentaires rocheuses ou meubles, mouvements de terrain, structures anthropiques (géotechniques et archéologiques).
Je suis également responsable du site d’Avignonet au sein de l’Observatoire Multidisciplinaire des Instabilités de Versants.

Chercheur CNRS dans l’équipe Géodynamo, je travaille sur la géodynamique du noyau terrestre. Je m’intéresse tout particulièrement à l’effet dynamo, c’est-à-dire à la capacité du mouvement d’un métal liquide à produire un champ magnétique auto-entretenu. Enfin, j’étudie l’histoire dynamique de la graine.

I am a researcher in the field of seismology and seismic hazard assessment in the research team "Geophysics of seismic and gravitational hazard" of the ISTerre laboratory. My aim is to understand the physical phenomena that control the ground motion generated during earthquakes, in order to better predict their effects. I also work on earthquake engineering applications. My main research interests include the physics of earthquake rupture process and the simulation of strong ground motion.
