Earthquake Prediction (TEPCA)

TEPCA stands for "Towards Earthquake Prediction in the Central Apennines". The project relies on an innovative use of seismic noise correlations that allows to track the subtle changes of the underground induced by the crustal fluids. These fluids are supposedly at work in the nucleation stage of the large earthquakes of the Central Apennines (Colfiorito 1999 ; L’Aquila 2009 ; Amatrice and Norcia 2016).

TEPCA is currently under evaluation by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche.
