Model Independent Stochastic Declustering

This is the web page for the Model Independent Stochastic Declustering method.

This method aims at separating the contributions towards earthquake triggering of (1) previous earthquakes, that generate (e.g., through elastic interactions) further seismicity - like aftershocks -, (2) other, aseismic causes. The latter is here assumed to represent a constant (tectonic) loading rate, although further research currently developed shows that this assumption can be relaxed to study earthquake swarms, either fluid-related, or due to aseismic slip on faults.
