Model Independent Stochastic Declustering

This is the web page for the Model Independent Stochastic Declustering method.

*****This method aims at separating the contributions towards earthquake triggering of (1) previous earthquakes, that generate (e.g., through elastic interactions) further seismicity - like aftershocks -, (2) other, aseismic causes. The latter is here assumed to represent a constant (tectonic) loading rate, although further research currently developed shows that this assumption can be relaxed to study earthquake swarms, either fluid-related, or due to aseismic slip on faults.
