Your first action is to change NOW this password and makes it yours, by first identifying yourself here

and subsequently fill the administrative profile page that concerns you.

Normally, the authoring interface should be in your preferred language, either french or english, according to the choice you defined for your web browser in its preferences. It’s a choice that SPIP, the web engine, detects automatically. Whenever you want it, you can change this to another (among provided) language by using the pop-up menu on the left side or next to the login name (for the moment french and english only. If you know enough of another language and you are willing to help to translate things, you are welcome and just contact me).

In order to modify your profile, AND TO START WITH, the password that I have chosen for you, from the main "welcome" page, click on the little ’+’ next to your full name in the left margin. You should reach your own profile page, from which you can modify almost all your infos. Few things such as your login name cannot be changed by yourself but I may be able to do it for you — ask me. There are a few other ways to go to your profile page : just explore the different popup menus in the upper part of the main welcome page.

Note that, when you have change your password (and maybe other infos too), once you save the new choice, you are sent a confirmation email. Since the cookie system, YOU NEED TO QUIT your profile page and the ISTerre (SPIP) site, VALIDATE THE URL received in the confirmation email, THEN RECONNECT to the ISTerre SPIP site AND REDO a new login. Otherwise subsequent modifications are not taken into account.

Concerning the different administrative informations to enter in this form : later on, these infos will be automatically gathered for different practical databases, the phone book, the email address annuary, the location map, the professionnal status list for the lab needs, etc. ; therefore, ALL THESE INFORMATIONS ARE IMPORTANT and remember to update them when needed. No personal information is requested including your birthday (however, all this is in agreement with the french privacy law, and the CNIL recommendations, the institution that looks about respect of privacy and self-property of all infos that concern you directly and personally). For your birthday, your can give it precisely (up to the second !) or just partly, for instance just the year, as I did, but it’s your choice to add this info or not.
